I entered publishing in 1979 as a desk editor for George Ronald, a small publisher of books on the Bahá’i Faith and Islam. Since then, I have worked as series editor for Hodder Education, and Cross Academe, helping to devise series formats and collating other authors’ work.
I have copy-edited books on a wide variety of non-fiction topics over the years, and also edit fiction for authors seeking to self-publish.

To quote a price, I need to edit a sample of your typscript. As a rough guide, editing an 80,000 word novel might cost £500. This would cover editing for consistency, clarity, style, spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as raising queries with you where necessary. Click on the cover above for a sample of a book of short stories that I edited for a writing group.
